Ryan P. Greenberg, MBA, FACPE, NRP, EMD

EMS in New York State, how can you help sculpt the future!
Ryan Greenberg has spent the past nearly 20 years working in EMS from EMT to Chief of EMS. Ryan has focused his career on building hospital based EMS systems across the northeast while always remaining an active Paramedic, Fire Fighter, Educator and EMS Advocate. Ryan received his undergraduate degree from Babson College, his Master’s Degree from Seton Hall University and post graduate certificate from Columbia University. Ryan is currently the Director of EMS & Trauma Systems for the State of New York and is a Fellow of the American College of Paramedic Executives.

Bradley Sprague, BSN, RN, EMT-P
Pediatric Trauma Stabilization: A, B, C’s and beyond…​
​Brad has worked at Oishei Children’s Hospital (formerly WCHOB) since 2008, after graduating from D’Youville Collage with his BSN. He started in the Pediatric ICU and Emergency Department where he worked as a Critical Care RN for five years. He then joined the STAT Transport Team and is now in the position of Team Coordinator. In this role he transports patients from newborn to adult, and assists with trauma patient stabilization. Brad has been part of the prehospital health care community for over 16 years. He also works part-time with Mercy Flight WNY as a Flight Nurse, and on their ground division, Mercy EMS, as a Paramedic. He is a volunteer Assistant Chief with the Main-Transit Fire Department, in Amherst, NY. He is part of many committees within the hospital, and oversees the STAT Team outreach program.

Jeff has been an EMS provider since 1999. Hestarted my career at Twin City Ambulance and then became the Assistant Director of Emergency Management for the City of North Tonawanda. In 2012, he deployed to Afghanistan as a tactical medic for the US Embassy Security Force. Upon his return he began working at Mercy EMS and shortly after began flying for Mercy Flight where he still works regularly. Upon his return he also became a tactical medic for the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team/SWAT team. In 2017, he took his current full time job with Kaleida at Oishei's Children Hospital as the Trauma Injury Prevention and Community Outreach Coordinator.

Beth Moses, BSN, RN, TCRN, AEMT
Hemorrhagic Shock and Vascular Injuries
Beth first became interested in trauma when she took the EMT course in high school. Upon graduating from D’Youville College, she started working as a Registered Nurse in the Trauma ICU at ECMC and stayed in that position for almost 18 years. She is currently the Injury Prevention and Education Coordinator for ECMC’s Trauma Program and especially enjoys teaching in high schools and out in the community. She is an instructor and coordinator for Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) and is the Vice President of the NYS chapter of the American Trauma Society. Beth has been an active member of the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years and currently serves as the EMS Chief.​

Kyle David Bates, MS, NR-P
Mechanism of Injury or Idiocy and ​Boot to the Head – Concussion Assessment and Management
As a paramedic, author, educator, instructional designer, and artist, Kyle David Bates has been teaching all levels of EMS for over 25 years locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. By combining his love of medicine, art, and education he hopes to create a unique and interactive learning experience for all. Kyle is also an avid hockey player and coach. He has been playing goalie since he was a young child and is currently still playing. He is also the lead goaltending coach for the Nelson Hockey Association in Piney Orchard, MD where he works with many of the goalies from U8 through to U18 in individual as well as in team and clinic settings. Most recently Kyle attended the National USA Hockey Coaches Symposium in Lake Placid, NY where he achieved his Level 5 Gold Goal Coaching Certification.  ​

Brian M. Walters, D.O., FACEP, FAAEM
Damage Control Extrication: A Case Study
Dr. Walters began his EMS career over 20 years ago while working for Twin City Ambulance in the City of Buffalo.  He is dual board certified in Emergency Medicine and subspecialty board certified in EMS.  He currently serves as the medical director for many EMS agencies throughout Cattaraugus & Chautauqua Counties. Dr. Walters sits on the State Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (SEMAC), is the past Chairman of the WREMAC, and actively involved in numerous state and national EMS organizations.  He has unique experience in tactical and special operations medicine, works with local SWAT and hazmat teams, recently deployed to Hurricane Michael with is federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), and has worked several National Special Security Events (NSSE) including at the United Nations General Assembly, the US Capitol, and President Bush’s funeral detail.
